In response to backer requests, I've added two "Context Only" pledge levels to the FTEG Kickstarter.
For anyone who's already owed a copy of the FTEG via a prior Kickstarter, if you want the Context Books as well, pledge at a "Context Only" level and voila.

This one is simple: I've finished Version 1.0 of the FlexTale Encounter Generator. As in, it's done. Content's all written. Nearly 100 pages of it. Had to do it anyway as part of developing DO2.
The simple answer is, backers asked for it.
All backers, across all projects, who are entitled to a copy of Dark Obelisk 2, will automatically get a PDF of the FTEG.
For everyone else, though--and there's hundreds of other backers, now, across more than a half-dozen other KS projects--they don't want to miss out. Dozens of backers from those other projects have asked me if and how they can get on board with the FTEG. Well, this Kickstarter is an answer to those folks.
If you're getting DO2, you're automatically going to get the FTEG. Whether or not you explicitly asked for it, or were explicitly promised it. The FTEG is required to use the DO2 book; I couldn't physically fit everything I needed in a single book without doing it this way.
So if you're not getting the FTEG already, and are interested in it... or if you ARE getting a PDF of the FTEG, but want a hardcopy... please check out the new Kickstarter.
This new FTEG Kickstarter will in absolutely zero way impact the timeline, development, etc. of any other product that has been promised, in any other Kickstarter campaign. As I said, not only is it already completed, but I had to create it as part of fulfilling DO2. Future versions of the FTEG will have to happen anyway to fuel other products.
Hi there! I've been posting here and there, but figured the time was right for a general state-of-the-nation as it pertains to Infinium Game Studios, our products, and our various Kickstarters.
The short version is that we're behind schedule, but making tons of progress, and all projects are looking really good. I will continue to update each project's status in updates in those projects.
Even for those projects that are behind schedule and "on the back burner" until earlier projects are completed, I will strive to provide as much honesty and transparency as I can.
As I've always said, I've been pretty inconsistent in my ability to accurately predict when I'll complete work on things. I am trying to get better, more realistic, in my timeline goals, and regardless of how bad my guesses are, I do aim for complete transparency.
I CAN, however, all but guarantee that your pledge dollar and your patience will be rewarded, and worthwhile. I've lost money printing every single hardcover yet, and it looks like the next few books won't be any different... but that's because I want to make the absolute best and most useful products I can. With that in mind, here's where we are with things.
This massive book is nearing completion. Maps (450 of them!) are done, as is the Atlas. Fleshing out Areas of Interest now. There's still a chance I'll complete by end of the year; might slip into January.
Item list is fixed at 106 items--more than twice what had originally been planned. All artwork is complete; content is written for about 15% of the items. NPC wielder/bearers are all sketched out and crunch has commenced; about 5% done the crunch already.
All crunch for the Character Compendium is complete. Two dozen Villains have been sketched out. Ready to lay everything out quickly once prior projects are wrapped up.
Some (~25%) artwork is complete. Ground level, two turret levels, and five sublevels sketched out by hand. About two dozen NPCs, a dozen magic items, and a handful of Quests have been outlined. Ready to hit the ground running once prior projects are wrapped up.
20% crunch complete for OGL monsters. Potential monster list for Volume 3 is enormous; I need to pare it down to something reasonable that won't break the bank. BackerKit launching week of 11-Dec; surveys and Add-Ons will be due back mid-January.
This will be the next Kickstarter. I won't launch it until after DO2 publishes. It'll be awesome. I've mentioned some titilating details to some of you in private conversations, and I know there's already a huge amount of interest in this, even though it wouldn't be published until late in 2018.
Hi all--for those of you entitled to a hardcopy of the 5E edition, my apologies. It seems that the original order, while charged, did not go through to the printer, and as a result, I don't think anyone received a 5E hardcover as of yet.
To say this is frustrating is an understatement. My sincere apologies at the delay in getting you what you deserve.
I'm placing a reorder this week.
If you are a 5E hardcopy backer who HAS received your hardcover, please DM me and let me know; I'm currently operating under the assumption that nobody has gotten theirs and it would be useful to know if some of you have actually received your book.
