TL;DR
Good. Great, even. Lots of feedback to learn from to improve future products!
TL;DR: After extensive research, and subsequent discussion with the reviewer, I think you can trust the crunch. But there is definitely room for improvement in design in this realm going forward.
Detail: If you're like me, you tend to focus much more on the negative feedback than the positive. Most of the reviews' negatives are around the "crunch"--the statblocks and computations that went into the NPCs, monsters, etc.
As I've produced over a thousand statblocks for the Dark Obelisk 1 line of products to date, this is needless to say a vital part of the value of the books.
There are some conventions and clean-ups that are well-taken: monsters (unless they actually have class levels) should list Hit Dice and not Class information; movement should be listed in clean increments of 5'; minor spelling issues, that sort of thing.
Other specific examples relate to Armor Class calculation. In all cases where I investigated the concerns, I discovered the calculations to be accurate.
However.
The feedback is still very well-taken that design can be improved, particularly in some cases in the Extended Pregenerated Characters book. A halfling monk who wields a polearm, and is therefore encumbered and can't take his full Dex bonus to AC, is simply not a great design.

Sorry to double-post, but I was too eager hitting "Publish"... I've updated the Add-Ons section to reflect add-ons related to the new "Vanity" pledge levels:
Design an NPC ($75)
Design an NPC, w/Quest and likely future storyline involvement ($125)
New Pledge Levels!

9 days to go, and things are going great. My thanks again to all of you for your support and faith.
In response to backer suggestions, I've added two new "vanity" Pledge Levels, as follows.
Hardened Traveler
Help design and name an NPC for the book. Your NPC will receive quadded statblocks for a variety of difficulties, a background, description, and personality / appearance text.
Also receive both a PDF and a full-color hardcover of the Berinncorte Basecamp book, in your choice of Pathfinder or 5E format.
Finally, you also get PDFs of all unlocked Stretch Goals (unless otherwise noted), in both Pathfinder and 5E format, and a code to purchase hardcopies of these Stretch Goals at-cost.
Hardened Journeyman
All of the above, plus, in addition, your NPC will have at least one multi-page Quest, and will likely factor into future IGS products in the campaign setting of the Realm of Aquilae.

Self-explanatory. I respect the hell out of this guy, so for him to have positive things to say is beyond neat.

As the Players' Guide is included in many pledge levels, I figured this might be relevant. Also, for those who are on the fence as to whether they're interested in the current / preceding Dark Obelisk titles, this review may help give you the info you need.
